Macy's Holiday Hiring Day Oct. 22: Seasonal Retail Jobs Across Greater Houston

HOUSTON, TX — Macy's is holding a nationwide holiday hiring day on Thursday, October 22, and Houston is one of the 10 markets the retailer named as a top hiring area for its Macy's stores this season. Eight Houston-area stores, from the Galleria to Baybrook, are in play for anyone who wants a seasonal paycheck.

Walk in on the 22nd, apply on the spot, and bring your real holiday schedule. If that Thursday doesn't work, Macy's has one more hiring day on November 19.

Why Houston Is on Macy's Holiday Hiring List

In its September 24 holiday hiring announcement, Macy's, Inc. said it is filling seasonal part-time jobs at its Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Bluemercury stores. The first of three national hiring days ran September 24. The next two fall on October 22 and November 19.

Houston made the short list of top hiring markets for Macy's stores, alongside Phoenix, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. The honest part: Macy's has not published a headcount for Houston or a national total, and it has not posted a single start time for every store. We won't guess at either.

The local lineup is also intact. The one Texas store on Macy's 2026 closure list was in Corpus Christi, not here.

💵 What It Pays and What Comes With It

Macy's says every job posting lists its pay range, so you see the number before you apply. The company lists colleague discounts, 401(k) savings, access to earned wages before payday and an employee assistance program among its benefits, with medical, dental and vision coverage based on eligibility.
