🔥 Who's Running It and Who's Recruiting

The event is a joint production of the Texas Workforce Commission, Workforce Solutions Gulf Coast, the Texas Medical Center and the Texas Veterans Commission. The Workforce Solutions event page promises recruiters from more than 150 employers, walk-in workshops on the floor, and on-the-spot interviews at some tables.

No 2026 employer roster has been published yet, so walk in expecting to find out who is hiring once you are in the room. For a sense of scale, last year's Houston edition, held November 10, 2025 at NRG Arena, listed UTMB, MD Anderson, Southwest Airlines, the Port of Houston, Burns & McDonnell and Fort Bend ISD among its exhibitors, according to the Texas Workforce Commission's event listing. That is a prior-year lineup, not this year's, but it shows the range.

⚠️ Read This Before You Go

  • The first hour is not for civilians. The 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Veteran Priority Service Hour is for military members, veterans and their family members. Transitioning service members, Guard and Reserve members and military spouses are specifically encouraged to come. Everyone else should plan on 10:30.
  • It is Election Day. November 3 is the general election in Texas. If you plan to vote in person that day, map out your polling place and the fair before you leave the house, or vote early.
  • Watch the date. An earlier Workforce Solutions announcement listed November 18. The official event page, the exhibitor page and the registration page all now say Tuesday, November 3. If in doubt, call 1-888-469-5627.
  • Parking details are still to come. Organizers say they will post them closer to the day.

📋 How to Show Up Ready

Organizers are specific about this, and it is worth taking literally. Bring at least ten printed resumes, a valid photo ID, a folder to carry everything, and a 30-second pitch you have said out loud at least once. Dress business professional or interview-ready: no jeans, shorts, athletic wear or casual sneakers. Wear shoes you can stand in for hours.
